Akshay-Kareena starrer ‘Good Newwz’ grosses Rs 148 cr in 10 Days

Patna : Raj Mehta directorial  comedy drama ‘Good Newwz’ starring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani, has become a big hit grossing over Rs 148 crore across the country in 10 days since its release on December 27, 2019. The film is Raj Mehta’s directorial debut.

The film was made on a budget of Rs 50 crore including advertising cost. The film did a business of over Rs 14 crore on January 5, 2020, its second Sunday. It has done a business of over Rs 33 crore in its second weekend. The film is about two couple with the same surnames trying for In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) and the mix up and confusion during the process.

Akhshay Kumar had four releases in 2019 ; ‘Kesri’, `Mission Mangal’, and  ‘Housefull 4’, and ‘ Good Newwz’, and all of them crossed Rs 100 crore mark.
