Ara : Hundreds of activists of All India Students Association (AISA), Inqilabi Navjawan Sabha (INS), and Bheem Army, wielding traditional weapons, took out a protest march that passed through the main thoroughfares of Ara town, headquarters of Bhojpur district, on December 26, 2018, raised slogans against the district administration.. They were protesting recent attack on the students of local S B College and inmates of Ambedkar Hostel.
Manoj Manjil, district president, INS, said that Bharat Yadav and his goons allegedly thrashed students of the S B College first and then intruded the Ambedkar Hostel and shot at and injured one of the inmates of the hostel Yogesh Kumar. He said that police is doing nothing to arrest the culprits despite lodging of an FIR on December 24, 2018. He demanded arrested of the culprits, cancellation of the arms license of the miscreants, treatment of the injured inmates of the hostel free of cost and tight security arrangement at Ambedkar Hostel. He said the three organisations would launch an aggressive agitation if their demands were not fulfilled at the earliest.
