Patna : AIADMK general secretary K Sasikala, who was on February 14 sentenced to four years jail term and a fine of Rs 10 crores by the Supreme Court of India, will be joining the club of RJD president Lalu Prasad who was awarded five years jail term by a special judge of Ranchi CBi court on October 3,2013. Lalu was also asked to pay Rs 25
lakh as fine by the court. Lalu was convicted in the fodder scam with charges of embezzlement of a huge amount from government exchequer.
Sasika leads the AIADMK after the death of former Tamilnadu CM J Jayalaitha and Lalu is head of another regional party RJD. With the conviction of Sasikala, decks have been cleared for re-installation of O Paneerselam as Chief Minister of Tamilnadu. Enough indication was given by two union ministers: M Venkaiah Naidu, who said there was no vacancy of CM post in Tamilnadu, and Ravishankar Prasad, who tweeted “Governor will facilitate installation of a government which is in accordance of the aspirations of the people”. Paneerseelam had been claiming that the people of Tamilnadu were with him.
Tamilnadu Governor K Vidyasagar Rao, who had followed the wait and watch policy for the last one week, is acting fast and has given an appointment to Paneerseelam.
