Chas (Bokaro) : Proving their mettle and exhibiting exceptional scientific acumen, three students of DPS Chas in Bokaro District, Jharkhand, have qualified for the State Level Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) 2020 Exam.

It may be mentioned here that VVM is a national programme for educating and popularising science among school students of Classes VI to XI which is jointly organised by Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA) in collaboration with Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organisation under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), an institution under the Ministry of Education. VVM aims at identifying keen knowledge seekers in Science and then nurtures them for higher level of science education. It is a unique app based online examination for school students. Altogether 120 students from different schools of Jharkhand have qualified for this competition.

Those who qualified for the state level examination for VVM Exam from DPS Chas are : Aditi Shubham of Class VIII, Sreijan Sinha of Class XI, and Rahul Kumar of Class XI.

Dr Hemlata S Mohan, Chief Mentor, DPS Chas, congratulated the students, parents, and teachers and urged them to stay motivated with greater preparedness and excellence.

Officiating principal, DPS Chas, P Shailaja Jayakumar, expressed her happiness over the enthusiastic participation of the students at the competition. She wished all of them grand success and glory.
