Patna : The Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar rose to 2,44,810 on December 16, afternoon, as 565 more persons including including 235 from Patna, 28 from Sitamarhi, 20 from Bhagalpur, 17 each from Muzaffarpur and Saharsa, and 15 each from Katihar and Nalanda, tested positive to the pandemic on December 15, 2020.
According to State Health Department figiure, 14 persons from Begusarai, 13 each from Saran and Gaya, 12 each from Araria, West Champatran, Sheohar, Purnia, and Madhubani, and 9 each from Vaishali, Kishanganj, and Siwan, and 8 from Supaul, also tested positive to Covid-19 on December 15, 2020.
Of the 2,44,810 Covid-19 cases recorded till date in Bihar, a total of 2,38,462 patients have been declared cured including 466 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 97.41%. The number of active cases in Bihar was 5,015 on December 16, 2020. Bihar has tested 1,66,29,179 samples so far including 1,22,113 samples on December 15, 2020.
The Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,332 in Bihar on December 16, 2020, with 3 new deaths being recorded in the state in last 24 hours including one each from Jehanabad, Purnia, and Khagaria.
