Journalist Rajdeo murder case trial transferred to Muzaffarpur

Muzaffarpur: The court of CJM, Siwan, on Thursday transferred the trial of journalist Rajdeo Ranjan murder case to Special CBI court, Muzaffarpur, following request from the CBI, which is investigating the case. Rajdeo, Siwan Bureau chief of Hindi daily Hindustan, was shot dead on May 13, 2016, by criminals when he was returning home on his bike.

Rajdev’s wife Asha Ranjan had alleged that her husband was killed at the behest of former Siwan RJD MP Shahabuddin. She had also visited Delhi recently to meet Union home minister Rajnath Singh.  The CBI has already interrogated some of the suspects, who are considered associtaes of Shahabuddin.
