Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : With the mission to save the green earth and checking pollution, DPS Bokaro in Jharkhand continued its ‘Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign’ wherein hundreds of students took the pledge on ‘Plastic Waste Management’, ‘Sanitation’ and Cleanliness Drive besides campaigning against the ‘Single Use of Plastic’ on September 20, 2019.

On this occasion, the students presented Short Plays, participated in various activities, and displayed posters and placards with various slogans on discouraging the use of polybags and making alternative arrangements to carry goods in a way to support the nationwide campaign to keep our earth green and eco-friendly.The teachers advised the students to organise mass awareness programme for saving our environment, planting trees, saving water and carry out continuous cleanliness drive to keep our earth safe and pollution-free.

Speaking on the occasion, DPS Bokaro Principal A S Gangwar said that the school inculcates the habit of continuous cleanliness drive throughout the year. Stressing the importance of a clean mind, clean body, and a clean surrounding, the school inculcates and instills value to help children understand and respect mother earth. He added that DPS Bokaro is committed to the cause of ‘Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign’.

“Let us believe that nature and environment are manifestations of God and we should as a legacy hand over a Green Earth to the next generation,” Gangwar added.
