Sitamarhi : All the water level of all the rivers including Bagmati, Lalbakeya, Adhwara Group, Lakhandei, Rato, Marar and Hardi was rising on July 24, 2019, following incessant rain in North Bihar including Sitamarhi district and in Nepal for the last 48 hours.,
Bagmati, Lalbakeya, Adhwara Group, Lakhandei, Rato, Marar, and Hardi rivers are again posing threat to villagers already devastated by flood on July 12, 2019. The villagers in the district are quite apprehensive. More than three hundred community kitchens are operational here. CM Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi had visited the district recently.
Meanwhile, the district administration has announced the closure of schools in the district till July 27, 2019.
