FIR lodged against South Bihar Gramin Bank Officer, Cashier

Ara : Branch Manager, South Bihar Gramin Bank (SBGB), Mahuar branch under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district, Rajesh Ranjan Paswan instituted a named FIR with Shahpur police station against a former Branch Manager of the bank Abhimanyu Pratap Singh and Cashier cum Clerk of the bank Rakesh Kumar Roushan in connection with alleged embezzlement of about Rs 2.5 crore of the bank. Abhimanyu Pratap Singh and Rakesh Kumar Roushan were posted in the bank from 2015 to 2019.

The Branch Manager, in his FIR,  alleged that former branch manager, SBGB, Abhimanyu Pratap Singh, and Cashier Rakesh Kumar Roushan withdrew about Rs 2.5 crore from 380 KCC accounts on their own IDs through fake signatures and thumb prints. Besides, they also drew a large amount from 24 accounts fraudulently.

SHO, Shahpur police station, said that  police are investigating the matter and would soon arrest the named accused.
