Patna : World No 80 and defending champion Prajnesh Gunneswaran, 29, India, beat  World No 213 Adam Pavlasek, 24, Czech Republic, on April 18, 2019, to enter the quarter-finals of ATP Anning, China, Challenger, tournament played on clay courts. Gunneswaran, the 2nd seed, defeated Pavlasek  7-5, 6-3 in the Round of 16 on April 18.

The winner of the tournament will get 125 ATP rankings points. Gunneswaran had defeated World No 256 Saketh Myneni, 31, India, 6-2, 6-4 in the previous round. Gunneswaran and Saketh Myneni have also reached the doubles QFs of the tournament.
