Bhabhua : Some armed miscreants shot dead a farmer Satyendra Singh at village Isia under Chainpur police station in Kaimur District on March 14, 2019, late night, when he was returning home after irrigating his field.
Police brought the body over to Bhabhua Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. An FIR has been lodged with Chainpur police station but no arrest has so far been made in this regard. The reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained.
SHO, Chainpur police station, said that Satyendra Singh had gone to his field. After watering the field, he was returning home around midnight when some armed miscreants shot him dead near Kali temple. Hearing the sound of the firing, the villagers rushed to the spot and found Satyendra Singh dead.
