Patna: The CPI will stage dharna and demonstration at all the district headquarters of Bihar on August 9 to protest what it calls anti-people policies of both central and state governmnents. Announcing this at a press conference here, CPI national secretary Amarjit Kaur said that the party would run a `Jan Jagran Abhiyan’ from August 1 to 8 in the state. She said that Modi government was acting against the interests of labourers by attacking the labour laws and has also allowed FDI in several sectors. She said the CPI supports jobs to women and pohibition in Bihar as it would reduce violence against women but does not support excesses in the name of enforcing prohibition. She, however, said that the atrocities against women and dalits had increased in the state and law and order was also not good.
