7 liquor smugglers arrested in Saharsa, 3,300 litres of foreign liquor seized

Saharsa : Police, in a special drive launched against the liquor smugglers, seized 3,300 litres of foreign liquor, a truck, and a pick-up van from two different places in Saharsa district on September 4, 2018, night. Police also arrested 7 liquor smugglers.

SDPO, Saharsa, Prabhakar Tiwary, said that a police team on patrolling headed by Niranjan Singh, on a tip off, stopped a pick-up van at Hanuman Chowk, Saharsa, and arrested a liquor smuggler Rajesh Kumar while another managed to escape. During search, the pick-up van was founded laden with 900 litres of foreign liquor.

SDPO Tiwary said that SHO, Nauhatta police station, Darwesh Kumar, on a tip off, seized a truck carrying 2,400 litres of foreign liquor at Nauhatta. Police also arrested 6 liquor smugglers.
