Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : Remembering  the great contributions of former president of India S Radhakrishnan in every sphere of life, who was not only a philosopher and guide but a teacher and an intellectual of high caliber,  Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro  on September 5, 2018, celebrated ‘Teachers’ Day’ as a glorious occasion to acknowledge the selflessness contribution of the teachers in the making of an intellectually bright society.

Showing expression of joy and celebration with lot of gratitude and respect towards the architects (Teachers) of the society, the School’s Student Council Members organized and conducted the DPS special assembly in honour of the respected teachers. On this occasion, the students performed the role of teachers taking classes which was appreciated by everyone.

Students on campus and alumni expressed their love and respect towards teachers but made it a point to meet their mentor and leader Director & Principal of DPS Bokaro Dr Hemlata S Mohan greeting her with handmade cards and flowers.

In her address to teachers and students Dr Mohan appreciated the positive role being played by the teachers in building up the society and taking the nation forward in every field by giving their best and so the students should come forward to grab knowledge maintaining ethics in life.

Dr Mohan was also greeted and felicitated by the parents as a mark of respect on the occasion of Teachers’ Day here. The teachers and the students from ‘Deepansh’ – Shiksha Kendra (run under the aegis of DPS Bokaro) and ‘Koshish’ also joined the celebration.

Later, a special assembly was also organised at the Primary Wing in DPS Bokaro where the teachers along with Dr Mohan paid tribute to Dr S Radhakrishnan. Attractive, entertaining and fun packed cultural performances marked the days’ celebration.

During the programme, Pravin Kumar Sharma, P Shailaja Jayakumar, Dr Manisha Tiwari (All Vice Principals), Anjani Bhushan (Headmaster), Manisha Sharma, Shalini Sharma, and Sunita Bhardwaj (Headmistresses) along with teachers and students were present on the occasion.
