Ara : A named FIR was lodged with Woman Police Station, Ara, in Bhojpur district, against Bholu Singh, Vishal Kumar, Mukul Singh, and Ashish alias LIC on September 4, 2018, evening, in connection with gang rape of a BSc part I student and daughter of an ASI currently posted at Ara and also making of video of the incident. A police team led by SHO, Woman Police Station, has been sent to Chhapra in Saran district to arrest the accused.
SHO, Woman Police Station, Poonam Kumari said that the named accused gangraped the girl when her family was living in Shakti Nagar locality under Muffassil police station, Chhapra. The accused decoyed the girl when she was returning from coaching institute and intoxicated and gangraped her. When she came to her sense, the accused showed her the video and told her that she along with her family members would be killed and the video would be made viral on in the social media if she dared say anything to anyone about the incident. After that the accused called the girl several times and gangraped her. Frightened, the girl did not say anything to her parents or any other family members regarding the incident.
Meanwhile, her father was transferred to Ara. The accused called her and asked her to come to Chhapra with money and jewellery and two named accused in the case: Vishal and Ashish, came to Ara and took the girl to Chhapra with them on July 14, 2018, where the accused once again gangraped her.
The accused repeatedly tortured and threatened to make the video viral on the social media if she refused to come to Chhapra on their call. Finally, she narrated her ordeal to her parents. The family members took her to the Woman police station and lodged a named FIR against the four accused.
Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar said that when the matter came to his knowledge, he was taken aback and immediately formed a police team under SHO, Woman Police station, Poonam Kumari, and sent the police team to Chhapra to arrest the accused.
