Sasaram : Assistant District Supply Officer (ADSO), Rohtas, Akhileshwar Kumar Sharma, on May 19, 2018, evening, lodged a named FIR with Dehri police station, against the then Block Supply Officer (BSO), Dehri Block,  Devendra Thakur, in connection with irregularity in the distribution of grains. The FIR was lodged on the direction of Rohtas DM after  Divisional Commissioner, Patna, Anand Kishor took initiative in this regard.

Ranjan Kumar alias Rajan of Dalmianagar said that Rohtas DM had allotted 7.72 kg of rice and 4.37 kg of wheat for each APL family from August 2010 to October 2010. He said that Deari-on-Sone has 16,266 APL cardholders but not a single of them was given the grains. He said he wrote to Rohtas DM, SDO, DSO, Food and Consumer Protection Minister Minister and even the Chief Minister but no action was taken. Finally, he wrote to the Prime Minister and at his instance an inquiry was ordered but a weak report was made to shield the guilty officials saying that dealers did not receive grains for six months.

When question marks were put on this report, it was finally detected that grains were distributed was more than allotment. He said that after eight years of struggle, he succeeded in getting an FIR lodged, Ranjan Kumar said. The SHO confirmed that an FIR had been lodged in this connection.
