Gopalganj: Three persons moving on a four-wheeler looted Rs 80,000 cash from a farmer Amrit Pandey near Sasamusa State Bank of India (SBI) branch under Kuchaikot police station in Gopalganj district on Monday afternoon.

Pandey, a native of Sasamusa, had gone to deposit the cash in SBI branch. As he was proceeding towards SBI at around 1 pm, three persons came out of a four-wheeler and snatched the cash from him at pistol point and sped away on the waiting vehicle. Pandey later reached the local police station and lodged a written complaint in this regard.

The cops manning Kuchaikot police station said that though a police team had gone to  the spot mentioned by the victim, they could not gather any information about the loot as none of the locals were witness to the incident.
