Minor girl raped at Bhojpur village, accused yet to be nabbed

Ara : A named FIR was lodged with Woman Police Station, Ara, in Bhojpur district, against three persons : Surdan, Dev Kumar and Praveen on the village on the statement of a 16 year old girl of village Doghara under Bihia police station alleging they had raped her and also thrashed her and her family members but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.

Some miscreants had been teasing the minor mahadalit girl at village Doghara under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district for quite sometime. On January 11, 2018, morning, when she had gone to the field to attend call of nature, they pounced on her and forcibly took her to a secluded place where they outraged her modesty. Hearing her cry, when her cousin brother Rajan Kumar reached there, the miscreants thrashed them and also injured them. Later, they were admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital.

When they went to the Bihia police station to lodge an FIR, police allegedly sent them back saying that the case has to be lodged with the Woman Police station, Ara. They faced similar at the Woman Police Station too but after much persuasion, an FIR was finally lodged.
