Nine drown to death in Vaishali dist

Patna : Nine persons, all picnickers, died after falling into river Gangain Vaishali on November 5, 2017. The incident took place  when they had gathered atop a mound formed by silt near Mastana Ghat for picnic. According to a police official of Fatuha police station, Patna, one of the children had probably fallen into the river and the others jumped into the water to rescue him and lost their own lives. Nine bodies had been fished out, he said. The deceased including five girls and four men hailed from Dariyapur under Fatuha sub-division of Patna district. The place of occurrence falls under Raghopur block of Vaishali district.
