Ara : Police recovered body of a married woman floating in a pond at village Eraura under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district in the evening on November 3, 2017, and brought it to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased was identified as Kanti Devi, 25, wife of Awakash Kumar of village Eraura.
SHO, Udwantnagar police station, said that her in- laws were allegedly demanding a motorcycle and Rs 50,000 in cash as dowry and when their demands were not fulfilled they drowned her into the pond of the village.
