Saharsa : Bittu Kumar, 19, of village Khapouti Barsam under Saur Bazaar police station in Saharsa district sustained gunshot injuries when his two cousin brothers fired on him on September 28, 2017, in a land dispute when he was barricading his fieled with bamboo. Bittu was rushed to the local Primary Health Centre (PHC) from where he was referred to Saharsa Sadar Hospital.
Bittu said that he had a land dispute with his uncle Chandeshwat Yadav. But, a panchayat on September 28 morning had resolved the dispute and asked both the side to barricade their respective field, Bittu said adding that he was barricading his land after the panchayat when his two counsin brothers : Ashok Yadav and Manoj Yadav, reached there and started abusing him and when he resisted it they fired on him. Saur Bazaar police have recorded the statement of Bittu and started their investigation into the incident.
