Ara : Bhojpur police on August 1, 2017, evening recovered all the three missing minor children from Danapur, Patna, within 24 hours of lodging of an FIR regarding their disappearance. Later, police handed them over to their parents.

SHO, Chandi Police Station (PS), J P Rai, said that Sonu, 13, son of Sohit Rai, Manoj, 12, son of Shambhu Rai, and Rahul, 11, son of Vidyanand Rai of Bhadwar village under the police station left for their respective school in the morning on July 29, 2017, but they did not return. Their family members searched for them everywhere but when they failed, they lodged an FIR with Chandi police station on July 31 evening.

The SHO said that all the three boys study in different schools of the village. Sonu is a class IX student of Chandi High School while Rahul is a class VI student of Bhadwar Middle School and Manoj is class V at Urdu Primary School located near his house. The SHO said that all the boys were absent from their respective schools on July 29, 2017.

The SHO stated that one of the missing boys informed his parents that he was at Khagaul, Patna. His family members immediately informed police and a police team along with the family members of the missing children rushed to Khagaul and recovered them outside Danapur railway station. The children said that they wanted to travel in train but lost  their way and reached Khagaul where they had to wash utensils in a hotel for food.
