Lighning kills villager in Bokaro

Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : Sukhdeo Mahto, 35, of Ormo village under Kasmar block, about 35 km away from Bokaro Steel City, was feared killed in lightning that struck his house on April 22, 2017, around 2 am. No one except Sukhdeo was present at the house  at the time when lightning was witnessed. Ormo residents said that lightning was seen at the deceased’s house. He was found dead on his bed.

As the news spread like wildfire in the entire block, Gomia MLA Yogendra Prasad  asked the Bokaro district administration to give compensation to next of kin of the deceased. Bermo SDO Kuldip Chowdhary said that the body was sent for post- mortem to know the reasons behind the death of  Sukhdev Mahto after which necessary action from government side will follow.
