Darbhanga: Darbhanga police intercepted a bus early on Friday morning and seized 82 bottles of IMFL from the possession of some passengers. The police team was led by Darbhanga ASP Dilnawaz Ahmad. Ahmad said that acting on a tip off that liquor was being brought to Darbahnga from a bus coming from Ranchi, a police team laid a trap and intercepted the bus under Vishanpura police station at around 5 am.

He said that police arrested six youths including an Intermediate student and recovered the liquor from their possession. Ahmad said that the student told the police that he joined this trade seeing the profit in it. He said that the arrested youths told the police that they used to purchase a bottle at Rs 500 each in Jharkhand and used to sell them at  Rs 1,000 each. The arrested persons were being interrogated, the ASP added.
