Patna : Eight engineers of Water Resources Department (WRD) including Superintending Engineer (SE), Sone Canal Circle, Ara, Suresh Singh, and Executive Engineer, Durgawati Works Division, Chenari, Hari Basant, and Assistant Engineer, Flood Control Sub-Division, Lakhminia, Kavindra Kumar Singh, and 5 Junior Engineers (JEs) were found absent from their respective places of posting during a random tracking of their cellphones carried out by Joint Secretary- cum- Director, Land Acquisition & Rehabilitation, WRD, Gorakhnath, IAS, on November 16, 2018.
The WRD has decided to take stern action against all of them. The five JEs found absent during mobile tracking were identified as Giridhari Prasad Deepak, Varun Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Yogendra Kumar, and Dilip Kumar, according to a WRD released issued on November 16.
