680 bags of grains seized at Garhani

Ara : Bhojpur district administration seized 680 bags of grains kept at a rice mill at Garhani on May 26, 2017. The seized grains were to be sold in the blackmarket. Police also sealed the rice mill. The owner of the rice mill is allegedly absconding.

Ara SDO Navdeep Shukla got information that grains were kept in Maa Saraswati Ji Rice Mill at Garhani to sale the same in the black market. He along with the District Supply Officer and Udwantnagar police force conducted raids there and seized 80 bags of rice and 600 bags of wheat. The bags of the seized grains did not have tags of Primary agriculture credit society (PACS). The seized grains were meant for the PDS. The owner of the rice mill said that he had purchased the grains from the traders.
