478 students of Satwaria Inter college, W Champaran, to miss Inter exam

Bettiah : West Champaran district administration has tightened security to prevent Intermediate examinees from resorting unfair means at the 32 examinations centres including 24 under Bettiah sub-division and four each in Narakaiganj and Bagaha sub division. The  examination commences from February 14, 2017.

Adequate police force and magistrates will be deployed at every examination centre. The centre superintendents will be held accountable for the use of unfair means at their respective centres and would be liable for prosecution. The district administration has made adequate arrangements for examinees appearing at examination centres in the district.

West Champaran DM Lokesh Kumar Singh, during his meeting with superintendents of different centres besides administrative officials, asked them to ensure free and fair examination and to keep a vigil on the performance of each examination centre. No one will be allowed to keep mobile at the centre. CCTV cameras will be installed at each centre’s gate and examination hall. The examination will held every day in two sessions starting at 9.45am and 1.45 pm respectively.

Prohibitory orders have been enforced in the 500 yard radius of every centre till the examinations are over. All the photostat shops have been asked to keep their shutters down during examination hours. Meanwhile, hundreds of students of Rajkumar Shukla Inter college, Satawaria, on February 13 disrupted rail communication at Sathi rail station protesting against principal of the college Bashist Kumar alleging due to his negligence about 478 students will not be able to appear at examination for want of admit card. The students also created hindrance at Bettiah collectorate.

An ABVP delegation led by its le district convenor Avinash Kumar DM Lokesh Kumar Singh and informed him about the conduct of the principal. They said the DM has ordered a probe into the matter.
