Ara : The Judge, Fast Track Court VII, Ara, Pranav Shankar, on October 9, 2018, sentenced to three years’ imprisonment four persons :  Guddu Mahto, Ram Ishwar Mahto, Kanchan Devi, and Arti Devi and also slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 on each of them in an Arms Act case.

Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO), Ara Civil Court, Alok Kumar said that police had arrested four persons Guddu Mahto, Ram Ishwar Mahto, Kanchan Devi, and Arti Devi on August 31, 2010, from Agiaw under Gadhani police station in Bhojpur district and seized nine pistols, a double barrel gun and live cartridges from their possession. Police took them on remand on September 1, 2018, and submitted chargesheet against them on September 13, 2018. The court framed charges against them on September 17, 2018, and completed the trial on September 18, 2018. The APO said that the case was pending in the court of the ACJM but later it was transferred to the Fast Track Court.
