4 PDS dealers in Bagaha slapped notices

Bagaha : Four Public Distribution Shop (PDS) dealers have been asked to show cause why their licences should not be cancelled for allegedly selling grains in black market. The four PDS dealers served show cause are : Surendra Prasad, Hemraj, Suraj Ram and Ashok Paswan of Englishia panchayat under Bagaha-1 block of Bagaha sub division in West Champaran district.

SDM of Bagaha Dharmendar Kumar on April 7, 2017, said that a team comprising the Block Development Officer (BDO) and Circle Officer (CO) of Bagaha-1 block and Assistant Sub- election officer was formed to inquire into distribution of grains supplied to the PDS dealers among consumers. The team found that the consumers were neglected and grains were sold in the black market, SDO Kumar said.
