Bettiah : DIG, Champaran police range, Lallan Mohan Prasad, on Septembr 22, 2018, that 362 out of the 387 criminals wanted in major criminal cases had been arrested during a special conducted from September 15-22, 2018. Champaran range comprises East Champaran, West Champaran and Bagaha police districts.
According to a press release issued by the office range DIG, the arrested criminals had been sent to Motihari and Bettiah district jails and Bagaha Sub-Jail. Altogether 3,549 litres of different kinds of liquor, 3 mobile phones, 6 firearms, 7 live cartridges, 214 domestic cattles, and 170 grams of Brown Suger besides 12 vehicles, 26 motorbikes,and one tractor were recovered from the possession of the arrested persons. Police also rescued 3 kidnapped persons during the special drive.
