3 cops arrested in Saran for accepting bribe from truck drivers, 3 other cops suspended

Chhapra ( Saran):  Saran SP Har Kishor Rai, in a sudden inspection on September 7, 2019, caught red handed an ASI,
a police driver, and a SAP Jawan, accepting bribe from truck drivers at Matihan Chowk  under Dighwara  police station in the district. They were suspended, arrested, and remanded to judicial custody.

According to police sources, SP Rai was going towards Dhighwara but there was traffic jam on the  road. He, somehow, reached Matihan Chowk where ASI Baiju Sharma, police driver Ramjit Singh, and SAP Jawan Mohd. Allauddin Ansari  were engaged in realising bribe money from truck drivers. The SP got all the three arrested and sent them to  Dighwara police station for being sent to jail.

SP Rai confirmed the arrest of three cops and said that 3 more policemen including ASI Arjun Singh, driver Pankaj Singh, and a SAP Jawan were suspended for dereliction of duty.
