Bagaha : Altogether 27 BJP Mandal unit presidents and other office bearers of Bagaha, Lauria, Narakatiaganj, Sikta, Valamikinagar, and Ramanagar assembly segments falling under Valmikinagar Lok Sabha seat in West Champaran district, resigned from their respective posts on March 16, 2019, protesting denial of BJP ticket to sitting party MP from Valmikinagar parliamentary constituency Satish Chandra Dubey .
These BJP leaders held a meeting at the residence of Bagaha BJP President Ram Singh at Bhawal under Ramnagar block on March 16 and tendered their resignation from their respective post jointly to West Champaran district BJP President Ganga Pandey. Dubey had won Valmikinagar Lok Sabha seat in 2014 LS polls on BJP ticket. In their resignation letter, the BJP leaders said that the party workers will oppose JD(U) candidate from Valmikinagar during electioneering.
