New Delhi : India recorded 25,152 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours taking the tally past one crore mark (1,00,04,599) at 8 am on December 19, 2020. In contrast, 29,885 Covid-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in last 24 hours taking the tally to 95,50,712 on December 19, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases ( 3,08,751) by a massive margin of 92,41,961. The number of active in India was just 3.09% of the total cases on December 19,2020, a drop of 5,080 cases during last 24 hours.

Of the 1,00,04,599 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in India, altogether 95,50,712 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 95.46%. India has tested 16,00,90,514 samples so far including 11,71,868 samples on December 18, 2020.

The Covid-19 toll in India climbed to 1,45,136 on December 19, 2020, with 347 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 75 from Maharashtra,42 from West Bengal,  37 from Delhi, 23 from Kerala, 21 from Haryana, 20 from Punjab, 18 from Uttar Pradesh, 15 from Uttarakhand, 12 from Tamilnadu, 11 from Madhya Pradesh, 10 from Rajasthan, 9 from Himachal Pradesh, 9 from Gujarat, 8 from Karnataka, 7 from Chhattisgarh, 4 from Bihar, 1 from Jharkhand, and 1 from Andhra Pradesh. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.45% in the country on December 19, 2020. India had recorded 338 new deaths on December 18, 2020.
