Muzaffarpur : Rural Development minister Shravan Kumar, who reviewed the implementation of several schemes including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna and Indira Awas Yojna on May 26, 2o17, at Patna, announced that 22 Block Development Officers (BDOs) posted in ten districts of the state would be dismissed for the tardy progress of various schemes. They would be dismissed after  framing of charges against them, the Minister said.

The Minister announced that the government had also sought explanation from Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) of 13 districts for the poor implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna and Indira Awas Yojna.

The BDOs of Brahmpur and Chaugai in Buxar district, Jehanabad Sadar and Mukhdumpur in Jehanabad district, Barhaiya, Chanan, Piparia, Ramgarh and Suryagarha in Lakhisarai district, Meenpur in Muzaffarpur district, Narkatiaganj in West Champaran district, Bakhtiarpur and Sampatchak in Patna district, Mehsi in East Champaran, Dehri, Kochas, Rajpur and Sasaram in Rohtas district, Morwa in Samastipur, Lalganj, Mahnar and Rajapakar in Vaishali district are facing the axe. The DMs concerned have been directed to take quick action in this regard. Muzaffarpur DDC confirmed the government directive.
