2,118 Homeguards jawans on indefinite strike in Muzaffarpur

Muzaffarpur : All the 2,118 Homeguards jawans in Muzaffarpur district proceeded on an indefinite strike on March 15, 2017, evening to press their 12 point demand including equal pay for equal work.

They were on mass leave since March 11, 2017, in support of their demands but proceeded on an indefinite strike on March 15 evening, according to district vice-president of Homeguards Association Ushmed Kumar. The Homguards jawans are deployed in banks, jails, post-offices, excise department, government railway police stations in the district and their strike could tell on the law and order and traffic regulation in the district.
