Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : Two students of DPS Bokaro : Ausam Salam and Saksham Kumar, both student of Standard VIII, along with their two teachers : Arun Kumar Pandey and Nibha Kumari, were conferred on ‘Atal Khel Uplabdhi Samman’ by ‘Krida Bharati’ association of Bokaro on September 17, 2018, evening.
Ausam Salam, a versatile swimmer and athlete, got the award for winning three gold medals in swimming which included Junior State 400 metres Free style, Junior State 50 metres Free style, and gold medal for winning Dr Radha Krishnan Sahodaya Inter School Swimming individual championship.
Saksham Kumar got the award for winning silver medal at state level swimming event in Junior Group and winning Dr Radha Krishnan Sahodaya Inter School Swimming Competition silver medal.
Of the two teachers, Arun Kumar Pandey got the award for his contributions in field of Volleyball as he has represented the state in the Senior National and Inter University level while Nibha Kumari got it for her contributions in Football as she also has represented the state in Senior National and Inter University level football tournament and also for representing Jharkhnd in Handball at Senior National and Inter University level.
Dr Hemlata S Mohan, Director and Principal, DPS Bokaro, congratulated the students and the teachers for receiving the award and wished them best for the future.
