2 rape accused surrender before Ara Court

Ara : Two accused in a rape case surrendered before the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ara, on May 30, 2019, under mounting police pressure. They were sent to jail under judicial custody. The two accused were identified as Suraj alias Putul under Ara Muffassil police station and Vikas of Sahar police station areas.

SHO, Women’s police station, Ara, Madhuri Kumari, said that Suraj alias Putul outraged modesty of his physically impaired teenage niece at a village under Ara Muffasil police station on May 22, 2019, and confined her and her mother in a room with the help of his friend Vikas so that they could not lodge an FIR. On May 23, 2019, the mother-daughter duo somehow slipped from his clutch and reached the Women’ police station and lodge a named FIR against Suraj alias Putul.
