16 cellphones, 13 chargers, Rs 48,300 recovered from Bettiah jail

Bagaha:  Sixteen cellphones, 13 chargers, 2 knives, 2 cellphone batteries, and Rs 48,300 cash were recovered during a raid conducted at Bettiah district jail by West Champaran DM Nilesh Ramchandra Deore and SP Jayant Kant besides other officials on August 11, 2018. Bagaha SDM Ghanshyam Meena and Bagaha SP A K Gupta carried out raid at Bagaha Sub-Jail the same day and seized one SIM card, three sickles, and 4 chisels.

DM,West Champaran, Deore said the district administration will find out how these banned items reached inside the jail and will try to identify the jail personnel allegedly conniving with the inmates.
