Ara : First ever Life Line Express Train of India will reach Ara railway station under Danapur Division of East Central Railway (ECR), Hajipur, on September 17, 2018, and will stay here till October 7, 2018. This is the first ever Hospital on Wheel with a view to treat the helpless, needy and poor and experts from Mumbai, Delhi and Varanasi will treat them free of cost.
Bhojpur DM Sanjeev Kumar held a meeting with the people’s representatives, officials of the Health departments and the employees of Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) on August 11, 2018, and asked them to urge the poor and the needy to take benefit of this facility at Ara railway station. This project is being organized jointly by Bihar Governemnt and Indian Railways supported by Mahindra and Mahindra under the banner of Impact India Foundation, the DM said.
Anil Darsh, Incharge, Life Line Express Train, said that the people will be treated for dental, mouth, jaw, eye, ear, nose, throat ailments, besides blood sugar, High and Low Blood Pressure, epilepsy, breast and uterus cancer. Cataract, dental, jaw, ear, polio and other operations will also be performed by the doctors, he said and added that the patients, who undergo operations, will be provided with residential facility along with an attendant and food free of cost.
