Ara : Bhojpur police arrested five persons and seized 21 bottles of IMFL at Piro on December 14evening. Later, police forwarded them to jail. SHO, Piro police station, Subodh Kumar said that he got information that some smugglers were coming to Piro with IMFL. He immediately formed a team and arrested Arun Kumar Mandal of Dhanbad, Jharkhand, with 21 bottles of IMFL and Rs 11,000 cash at Piro bus stand. He said that Arun Kumar Mandal used to bring IMFL from Jharkhand to sell the same at Piro. On his revelation, police also he arrested Gopal Prasad of Barao, Ranjit Kumar of Chauri, Aman Kumar and Pintu Kumar of Piro in Bhojpur district. The SHO said that the seized liquor was meant for the para-military personnel and was brought from the JAP canteen, Jharkhand.
