Bagaha : In two separate raids conducted by police and SSB jawans altogether 1,112 bottles of liquor were seized within 20 hours in Bagaha police district. SSB jawans of 21st Battalion, Bagaha, deployed at Chakadahawa border outpost seized 1,100 bottles of Nepali liquor from Sadhu ghat under Valmikinagar police station on December 19, 2017, evening, and arrested a smuggler Ramji Nishad of village Hariharpur under Khada police station in UP.
SSB sub Inspector Mukesh Kumar Meena said that while he with his associates were on border patrolling on December 19 evening they saw four smugglers were carrying the Nepali liquor bottles on bicycle and tried to stop them but three smugglers fled away towards dense forest leaving the liquor bottles and bycycle behind but one smuggler Ramji Nishad was caught red handed with liquor. Meena said that the arrested smuggler with Nepali liquor was handed over to Valmikinagar police station for necessary action on December 20.
Meanwhile, Pathakauli police outpost incharge Subash Mukhia on December 20 arrested a liquor smuggler  Jitendar Prasad with 12 bottles of IMFL from village Domawalia  and sent him to Bettiah district jail.
