Nawada : Court of Nawada ADJ II Kaushlesh Kumar, on December 20, 2017, sentenced an illegal seller one Ganesh Sao of village Ghostama under Kadirganj police outpost of Nawada police station to 10 years’ rigorous imprisonment and also slapped a fine of Rs 1 lakh on him. The Excise Department had, during a raid conducted in May, 2016, recovered 144 litres of illegal liquor from his residence. The judgement is seen as a deterrent for those involved in sale or storage of illegal liquor in the district.
