11 inmates of Buxar Central Jail shifted to Buxar Open Jail

Buxar : Elevn inmates of Buxar Central jail will now breath in open air now as they were shifted to the Buxar Open Jail on Septembr 15, 2017, for their good conduct in the jail.

The prisoners shifted to the Buxar Open Jail are : Sabu Lal Rai, Musafir Rai, Mehi Rai, Surendra Rai, Jemidar Rai, Ramjeet Singh Yadav, Mahesh Singh, Mahatam Singh, Master Bind, Patali Dusadh, and Raman  Pandey.

Assistant Jail Superintendent, Buxar Central Jail, Amod Kumar said that due to good behavior of these prisoners during their confinement, completion of 10 years in the Buxar Central Jail and in view of their  advancing age, 11 inmates of the Buxar Central Jail were transferred to the Buxar Open Jail.

In the open jail, the prisoners are allowed to live with their families, they can perform their daily work within 5 km area inside the jail. He stated that this is the only Open Jail in Bihar and the government has initiated the step to bring the prisoners to the mainstream of society which had proved successful so far.
