Bagaha: SDM, Bagaha, Dharmendra Kumar on Monday inspected all ghats of river Gandak under Bagaha Nagar  Parishad where devotees offer Arghya on Chhath every year. This year, eleven out of thirteen ghats :  Mangalpur, Kalighat, Gola ghat, Dhobighat, Kailashnagar, Domawalia, Shastrinagar, Poorhouse, Ratanmala, Dindayalnagar, Goriapatti, have been found unsafe. Only Narainapur and Anandnagar ghat have been identified as safe.

Eleven ghats need immediate barricading because of dip water near the bank. Nagar Parishad and Chhath Puja Samities have been asked to ensure barricading of the 11 unsafe ghats. Police have been directed to maintain strict  vigil on the ghats and not allow to any devotee to cross the barricades. Lighting and cleaning of routes leading to the safe ghats will be done by the Nagar Parishad and Chhath Puja Committees, said the SDM.
