Bagaha: A police team led by SDPO, Bagaha, Sanjiv Kumar and comprising SHO, Bagaha police station, Mohd. Ayub on Monday night carried out raids at various places under Bhairoganj and Bagaha police station areas and arrested 50 gamblers including a liquor dealer and special police officer(SPO) from two gambling centres. Police also seized Rs 5,751 cash and 50 litres liquor from the two places.
Bagaha SP Shankar Jha while confirming the report said that the 40 gamblers including a liquor trader Dharmendar Kumar and special Police officer (SPO) Subhas Jaiswal, the kingpins, were arrested from Bhairoganj police station. Two cases were lodged with Bhairoganj police station in this connection. Ten gamblers were arrested from Goriapatti and Parasnagar localities under Bagaha Nagar Parishad. All the accused were sent to Bagaha sub- jail on Tuesday, the SP said.
