Zverev, Fognini reach QFs of ATP Hamburg Europen Open

Patna : World No 5 and 2nd seed Alexander Zverev, 22, Germany, and World No 10 and 3rd seed Fabio Fognini, 32, Italy, reached the quarter-finals of Hamburg Europen Open, an ATP 500 points tournament, at Hamburg, Germany, on July 25, 2019, winning their respective second round matches.

Zverev beat World No 67 Federico Delbonis, Argentina, 6-4, 7-6 in 1 hr 45 minutes in the 2nd round. Zverev fired 6 Aces in the match to just 1 by Delbonis. The German won 3 break points to 2 by Delbonis. Both the players won 3 games each in a row in the match. Zverev will face Filip Krajinovic, Serbia, in the QFs on July 26, 2019.
