Gopalganj: One Saddam Hussain (19) was stabbed to death at Bankatti Dakshin Tola under Baikunthpur police station in Gopalganj district on Wednesday. Tension prevails in the village after the incident.
Locals said that a taziya procession reached the house of Saddam, son of Asgar Ali, on Wednesday. As Saddam came out of his house with water and other materials, he had a heated exchange with his cousin Shabir Alam over donation. Shabir attacked Saddam with a `gupti’ killing him on the spot and fled away from there. SHO, Baikunthpur police station, B Ramadhoya Paswan, along with policemen reached the village. Paswan said that raids were on to arrest the killer by tracking the location of his cellphone.
