Sasaram : Surendra Kumar alias Chhotan, son of Ram Ji Singh of village Manpur Milki under Bikramganj police station, was killed and his body was thrown into a well on the outskirts of the village on May 23, 2017. The Chowkidar of the village informed police about the incident on May 24 morning. Police arrested Shiv Ji Singh and his three sons: Umesh Singh, Mahesh Sigh and Laloo Yadav in this connection. Later, police brought the body over to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
Surednra Singh alias Chhotan, 18, had appeared at matriculation examination this year and allegedly had friendship with the daughter of Shiv Ji Singh of the village. When the matter came to the knowledge of girl’s family, her brother Umesh Singh got furious and planned to eliminate Chhotan.
Umesh Singh convinced Chhotan to see a dance programme at village Aurai. He agreed to accompany him. When both reached near a well, Umesh Singh’s brothers: Mahesh Singh and Laloo Yadav were already present there. The trio slit the throat of Chhotan and killed him. Later, they threw the body into the well. As the villagers came to know about the incident, they attacked the house of Shiv Ji but timely arrival of police prevented the situation from taking an ugly turn.
