Ara : One student was killed while two others were injured one of them seriously when their motorcycle collided head-on with a speeding truck near Lodipur village under Chandi police station on Sakaddi-Nasariganj main road in Bhojpur district around midnight on October 8, 2019, when they were returning home after visiting a fair.
Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted the injured there but the doctor referred one of the injured to Patna Medical College and Hospital in view of his critical condition. An FIR has been lodged with Chandi police station in this connection. Police have seized the motorcycle. The driver escaped with the truck after the incident. The deceased was identified as Mithlesh Kumar, 20, son of Shiv Janam Sah of Bhagwatpur Tola, village Ratanpur, under Chandi police station while the injured were residents of Bhagwatpur and Narbirpur villages.
SHO, Chandi Police Station, said that Mithlesh Kumar along with his two friends had gone to visit the Durga Puja fair on October 8, 2019, on a motorcycle. When they were returning around midnight, a speeding truck collided head-on with the motorcycle killing Mithilesh Kumar and injuring two other bike riders.
