Youth killed, another injured in Bhojpur accident

Ara : A eighteen year old youth was crushed to death while another youth was injured by a speeding Scorpio on Bihia-Belwania main road near village Dumaria under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district in the wee hour on March 14, 2019.

Police brought the body over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for post-mortem and admitted the injured there. The deceased was identified as Raj Kumar, son of Mahendra Prasad of village Belwania while the injured was identified as Chandan Kumar of the same village. An FIR has been lodged with Bihia police station in his connection.

SHO, Bihia police station, Md. Shahood Akhtar Ansari said that Chandan Kumar and Raj Kumar, 18, were coming on a motorcycle to Belwania after attending a marriage ceremony at Bihia. When they reached near Dumaria village on Bihia-Belwania main road, a speeding Scorpio collided head-on with the bike killing pillion rider Raj Kumar on the spot and injuring Chandan Kumar who was driving the bike and escaped with the vehicle, the SHO said.
